T IN The Park bosses have invited Cheryl Cole to take the festival by storm with a special appearance.
The singer could join the Black Eyed Peas at Balado to bring their joint European tour to the T stage.
Speaking exclusively to The Razz, an insider said: “Should Cheryl want to join the Black Eyed Peas on the bill, that would be fantastic.”
Solo star Cheryl has been working with Will.i.am for the last two years and is on tour with the band throughout Europe in May and June.
She is the support act on the arena tour but is expected to team up with Will to perform Three Words and Heartbreaker at some point during the show.
And now she could be a surprise guest at the Scottish festival to wow fans with the same two tracks.
The festival’s new pop-friendly feel was a roaring success last year and Cheryl could well be crowned queen of T in the Park 2010, following the success of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
While there are UK arena shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester on The E.N.D. World Tour for Cheryl and the Peas, they have not scheduled a Scottish date other than T in the Park.
The door is wide open for Cheryl to put her personal heartbreak behind her with a show-stopping performance in front of her biggest UK crowd yet.
Cheryl first got together with Will for his single Heartbreaker back in 2008.
She met him while shooting the documentary Passions Of Girls Aloud, when she went to LA to train as a hip hop dancer. The pair were keen to work together and Cheryl sang on the single.
The result was such a success that she turned to Will when she was putting together her own solo record. He produced the album and sang with her on hit Three Words.
Cheryl has widely credited him as a massive source of inspiration – plus his name has opened doors in the US and Europe for her.
A source said: “Being connected to Will.i.am is opening new doors so it’s a brand new chapter for Cheryl.
“She is so excited about the tour and delighted the Peas are giving her the opening slot.
“It is going to be a special time for her fans.”
