Girls Aloud beauty Cheryl Cole, 26, saw her fortune soar by a massive 150 PER CENT last year – from £4million to £10million.
But it was only enough to give her FOURTH place in the 2010 chart of Young Music Millionaires aged 30 and under – which is dominated by women. The No1 spot is jointly filled by Charlotte Church, 24, Katherine Jenkins, 29, and Leona Lewis, 25, who all have £11million. Wealth watcher Dr Philip Beresford said: “We’re seeing the rise of girl power in music, fashion and film.
“Britain’s women superstars are showing they have the talent and drive to make it big in their bank balances. And they can do it without the support of overpaid husbands or hangers-on.”
Cheryl certainly proved she does not need her dumped love-cheat soccer hubby Ashley, 29.
Her earnings from singing were boosted by being a judge on X Factor and the face of Coca-Cola Zero.
She shares fourth place with Katie Melua, 25.
Cheryl’s Girls Aloud bandmates Nadine Coyle, 24, Sarah Harding, 28, Nicola Roberts, 24, and Kimberley Walsh, 24, enter the chart for the first time with £5million each. Another new entry is Lily Allen, 24, who also has £5million.
Dr Beresford, who compiles the Rich List, said: “The girls are showing you can make it big if you keep trying. It doesn’t matter where you come from. Drive and determination can get you the Hollywood lifestyle.”
