 According to the Daily Mirror, the X Factor judge, 26, secretly flew in the good looking 24-year-old to join her on her UK tour and one source suggested her behaviour showed that she is no longer thinking about footballer ex Ashley. “If there was ever a clearer statement that she’s over her ex, this is it,” the insider remarked. “Derek has always been very supportive of Cheryl.” The pair danced together during a performance of Cole’s hit single Parachute, although a spokesman for the singer has indicated that the act was pre-arranged and that they are just good friends. Cole has put on a series of gigs in recent months and is next scheduled to take to the stage on Tuesday June 1st at Birmingham’s LG Arena. There is no news on whether Hough will be joining her for that show, but the two have apparently been spending a lot of time together lately. He visited her in Los Angeles after she split up from Ashley in February and was spotted going to see her again in Hollywood in April.

 The nation’s sweetheart, face of L’Oreal Paris and No1 stylish celeb – as voted for by you – on tricks for being happy, and learning through hard knocks It’s been seven months since I first met Cheryl Cole and boy is she in a different place right now. Back then, she was filming her second series of X Factor and was hailed as the people’s princess. L’Oréal confirmed she was ‘worth it’ by making her the face of a haircare range and everything was good with the world. All, that is, except her ‘stinky garlic breath’ (her words, not mine), which she’d got from eating houmous for lunch. For the record, she was fresh as a daisy. Dressed in a tight, thigh-skimming LBD, she perched on the sofa next to me and, all smiles and dimples, demurely poured us both a cup of mint tea. Now it’s 9am on a crisp April morning and a shiny black Mercedes with blacked-out windows has whisked me off to a top-secret location to meet her again. But even the suited 7ft driver with slicked-back hair and mirrored aviators only vaguely knows where we’re going. As we pull into a quaint square of London town houses, he makes a call to find out the exact address of our destination. It’s bizarre. Every measure has been taken to keep out the paparazzi, but I’m starting to feel like I’m part of some covert military operation.

 Cheryl is celebrating her divorce by splashing out on a luxury new pad near Simon Cowell’s home. The 26-year-old has used her X Factor pal as a shoulder to cry on throughout her break-up with serial love rat Ashley. Now she thinks the best move she could make is into a home near the 50-year-old music mogul’s property in London’s posh Holland Park, where house prices start at £650,000. Cheryl had planned on keeping the Surrey mansion she shared with Ashley, 29, as part of their divorce settlement but she has since decided she wants to put the past behind her. A friend said: “There’s too many painful memories in their home and, although it’s a stunning house, Cheryl thinks it’s best to move on. “She had her management team scouting round for houses in Holland Park while she was on tour with the Black Eyed Peas. “She said she wants to move there because it’s pretty central to London for work and she’ll be near Simon. “They’ve grown very close since she started on The X Factor and she’s turned to him for advice during her break-up with Ashley. She likes the idea of living near him.” Noooo :( her house in Surrey is only 5 minutes drive from mine.

 X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has dropped her married name from her merchandise, a report has claimed. The 26-year-old revealed the new logo on the day that she announced that she is to divorce estranged husband Ashley. The Girls Aloud singer unveiled a new range of branded merchandise on her official website. The new items just read “Cheryl” and have replaced her official “Cheryl Cole” logo. A source told the Daily Star: “Cheryl approved the merchandise months ago before any of the marriage problems exploded. “But after she decided that she was definitely going to divorce him, it would have been strange to release it still emblazoned with his name all over it. “So they had to make a decision to remove her surname, especially after they knew it would hit her website on that particular day.” A spokesperson for the 26-year-old would not confirm whether Cheryl is planning to revert to her maiden name of Tweedy. They stated: “We have no comment to make regarding the merchandise. “With regards to her name, no decision has been made about this yet.”

 Cheryl Cole finally decided her love-rat hubby is a pain in the neck – which is why she’s getting rid of her “Mrs C” tattoo. As well as starting divorce proceedings against Chelsea footballer Ashley, she has asked her management to clear a few days to have the inking on the back of her neck removed. Cheryl wants it to be done in secret – unlike when Jordan had her “Pete” wrist tattoo inked over with a big black cross, all caught on camera for her reality TV series. A pal of Cheryl’s tells us: “She wants it done discreetly and with class. She’s not one for big, crass statements.” The X Factor judge is determined to have the tatt off before she goes to conquer America.

 Cheryl Cole has made her intention to end her marriage official with a tweet from her PR company Supersonic’s Twitter account. The post on the micro-blogging site read: ‘We can confirm the divorce.’ Yesterday, it was reported that the nation’s sweetheart wanted the divorce to be finalised before the World Cup, and that she didn’t want a penny of Ashley’s money nor the plush Surrey home they shared together. But today, The Mirror reports that Chezza is hoping for half of their marital assets and their pet dogs, chihuahuas Coco and Buster (none of Ash’s cash though). Commenting on her divorce settlement, a source said: ‘Cars, houses, the whole lot will be sold off and split between them. |
