Cheryl Cole has allegedly decided not to foot her brother’s latest legal bill. The singer apparently believes “tough love” will be good for him.
Andrew Tweedy is in custody after being charged with robbery in connection with a raid on a North Tyneside post office.
The 30-year-old appeared at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in North Shields where he was remanded in custody alongside two other men.
Tweedy, who uses his father’s surname Leighton, was allegedly among a gang who robbed the post office in Longbenton, North Tyneside.
It has been claimed that two men held up the premises with a gun and a machete.
Cheryl has helped her brother in the past but is said to be “sick to the back teeth”, according to The Sun.
A source said: “She’s always giving him the benefit of the doubt but it’s gone on too long.
“She thinks tough love is the only option left. In the long run, she thinks she’ll be doing him a favour.”
They added: “Her album was called 3 Words – as far as she is concerned the three words for him are ‘Sort yourself out’.”
