Simon Cowell has reportedly issued a warning to Cheryl Cole urging her to cut down her workload in order to give her full attention to the X Factor.
The music mogul, is said to have told Chezza that she must focus more attention on the talent show after becoming concerned the Girls Aloud singer is spending to much time on her solo career.
The 3 Words singer, who is currently busy touring with her rumoured lover Will.I.Am’s band the Black Eyed Peas has been accused by Cowell of not ‘committing to the new series 100%.’
An insider told Star Magazine: “Simon is supportive of Cheryl. But he feels she needs to stop gallivanting around Europe and start getting focused on The X Factor’s return.”
They continued: “He says the show should come first. He also thinks she’ll be going into the new series utterly exhausted, which is not good for her, the show or Simon.”
Since the last series of the X Factor, in which Cheryl won the series with her act Joe McElderry, the Parachute star has enjoyed huge success with her album, endured a messy break up with Chelsea FC footballer Ashley Cole and has still found time to tour with the BEP’s as well as signing up for various festivals.
The source added: “Simon is worried she’s been doing too much. He wants her to take some time out and get her head in the right place for what will be an incredibly demanding new series.”
“She is determined to work as hard as she can. That’s how she has dealt with her problems with Ashley. Simon has told Cheryl she is the star of the show and that she needs to get back in the zone, and fast.”
