X Factor’s Cher Lloyd has defended Cheryl Cole over last week’s voting fiasco.
X Factor fans were furious about Sunday’s show when Cheryl Cole refused to vote off either of her acts – Treyc Cohen and Katie Waissel – who were in the bottom two.
But 17-year-old Cher has voiced her support for mentor Cheryl in her weekly video diary saying: “I felt really bad for Cheryl. It’s not easy making a decision when it’s two of your girls in the bottom two.
“I know it sounds weird but it’s kind of like having two of your kids and giving one away. Can you imagine that?
“It would be weird and you wouldn’t be able to do it. So I do feel for her and everyone else out there should feel for her as well.”
Cher also admitted she was disappointed with last weekend’s performance and vowed to up her game ahead of this weekend’s live show.
She said: “I feel like I didn’t do my very best last week, but there’s no point kicking myself about it, it’s time to move on and I’ve got a really good song this week.
“Life has to go on. It’s a competition and people have to go out. It’s getting fierce now and it’s heating up, but you have just got to be prepared to fight your way through it.”
