![]() Cheryl Cole says her Girls Aloud bandmates are like her ”sisters” but admits she relies on Kimberley Walsh for support when things go wrong in her life. Cheryl Cole says Kimberley Walsh is her “safety network”. The pop star insists she is close to all her Girls Aloud bandmates but always goes to Kimberley if she has a problem because she will always give her a hug. Cheryl – who has endured a tough 2010, splitting from her soccer player husband Ashley Cole and contracting potentially fatal disease malaria – said: “I have a lot of amazing friends, but the girls – Kimberley, Nicola (Roberts), Sarah (Harding) and Nadine (Coyle) – they’re like my sisters because we’ve been through so much together for so long. They just become your best friends. But Kimberley is my safety network, she’s the one that gives you a good hug when you need it.” I promise to take each day as it comes, that’s what I’ve figured out Despite the turbulent last few months, the 27-year-old singer insists she has taken a valuable lesson from the upheaval in her life – to live in the moment. Referring to her hit single ‘Promise This’, Cheryl said in a video interview on YouTube: “I promise to take each day as it comes, that’s what I’ve figured out. You just have to live each day and live in the moment instead of worrying about tomorrow. I’m always thinking about next week or next month but I need to live in the day.” Everybody needs some Chim in their lives. And hey look Cheryl included Nadine too saying she’s a sister, on the otherhand Nadine has been avoiding questions asked about if she’s friends with the girls, she always replied with “we work great together”.

![]() Rihanna has been rocking bright scarlet hair and since Cheryl’s new barnet had its first outing, the red-and-purple-hair trend has taken off like a rocket. “Red, red, red,” tweeted top colourist Lisa Shepherd last week. “Just finished my 16th Cheryl red of the day.” “Colour-wise, it’s an autumn trend which has taken off since Cheryl took it on,” says Lisa. “Dark, plummy red softens Cheryl’s features. She just needs to be careful not to overdo the fake tan or blusher otherwise it could end up being too clash-tastic. But to be honest Cheryl’s new colour is finally growing on me. I wasn’t overly keen at first as it looked so artificial.” Derek Thompson of Gielly Green, where the clientele is rather more sedate and grown-up, pulls a slight face at the thought of hair in the red-purple spectrum. “It’s a hard colour to pull off,” he says, “unless you’re as pretty as Cheryl, or you work at Camden market.” Technically, Mark Woolley of Electric Hair tells me, Cheryl’s colour is mahogany — it’s L’Oréal Paris Casting Creme Gloss in shade 550, yours for £5.99 in any high-street chemist. But he warns: “The cool tone to Cheryl’s hair colour will not suit everybody so it should be reserved for the daring, in which case the effect will be edgy and striking.” New York-based celebrity colourist Marie Robinson, who was in London last week in her role as ambassador for Pantene’s new Pro-V colour-protect shampoo, says: “I don’t think there are any rules for who can wear red hair. If you have very fair skin then you have strawberry, copper, vibrant red and mahogany as options. Light and dark olive skin should choose more chestnut and darker auburns that don’t have copper or orange undertones as they make skin look greener. “If you are prone to ruddiness and blushing, I would avoid all cool red shades and strawberry as they can make skin look pink or bring out redness.” There are a few other no-nos if you’re tempted by an extrovert colour like this. “Never put dark colours straight over the top of blonde,” says Lee Stafford, “as this has a tendency to turn hair khaki. You have to introduce reds to the hair first to create warmth.” He also warns that unless you look after coloured hair properly, dark-purple hair will go dull and lifeless while lighter lilac will go brassy and straw-like. Which means you’ll need special, colour-care shampoo. There are many; the latest include Mark Woolley’s first range of hair care products. The Electric Hair Care Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner (electric-hair.com) locks in colour, he tells me, and keeps it up 30 per cent more vibrant than high street brands. The new Pantene products, which launch in a fortnight, promise to mimic hair’s natural water-proofing to seal in the colour molecules and make them last.

![]() Fresh off of the release of her second solo album “Messy Little Raindrops,” Cheryl Cole is reportedly planning to treat her fans to an upcoming tour. Having opted against doing so for her first release “3 Words,” an insider told The Mirror that the British beauty is definitely hitting the road this time around. The Mirror’s source tells, “Cheryl’s definitely touring. She could probably fill the O2 Arena but they don’t want to go too big too quickly.” They added: “It will most likely be mid-capacity venues seating around 1,500 people but she wants it to be the start of her career as a pop performer.” I can’t WAIT to see her on tour if she’s now definitely doing one, the themes, the theatrics, can’t wait, honestly, hopefully there will be a meet & greet opportunity aswell, honestly dying to meet her again and not make a fool out of myself this time!

Did you spot the X Factor feud yesterday? Judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue were less than impressed with Jamiroquai’s lead singer Jay Kay when he appeared on the show over the weekend, after reading his less than complimentary comments about them in the paper. Ahead of his performance on the show, the singer launched a foul-mouthed tirade against Dannii and Cheryl, reportedly branding them ‘useless’ in an interview with the Sun. ‘What the f***. When have you ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I’d like to f****** s**g you but that’s all,’ the singer ranted to the newspaper, moaning about having to perform on the show. ‘I just don’t like the w**** stuff I have to do. F****** X Factor and that. ‘I’m going to have to sing in front of f****** amateurs. Do you know what I mean?’ Big mistake. Unluckily for the singer, the news traveled fast, and he received a decidedly lukewarm reception as he stepped on stage during the show. And insiders said you could cut the tension with a knife. ‘The atmosphere backstage was extremely awkward. Cheryl and Dannii read his comments in The Sun on Saturday,’ one revealed. Cheryl glared at the star and sat stony faced throughout his performance, while Dannii amused herself by doodling on a notebook and chatting to Louis. X Factor – XFactor – Dannii and Cheryl?s Jamiroquai X Factor Spat – Celebrity News – Marie Claire And at the end of his song, there was no standing ovation. The girls refused clap at all, and even Simon didn’t seem that interested. After appearing on stage, the sheepish star was forced to backtrack on his harsh comments. ‘I have to say, I’ve had reservations about appearing on the show but I’ve had a wonderful day,’ he told Dermot O’Leary. ‘Everybody’s been charming, it’s been wonderful.’ After Jay Kay left the stage, Dermot even joked about his frosty reception to Cheryl, saying: ‘It’s nice to see you smiling again,’ and adding: ‘Wow. I am never going to make enemies with you.’ I was loling so fucking bad last night at Cheryl and Dannii for doing that, that twat got owned.
