 Dannii Minogue has said she wants to collaborate on some music with Cheryl Cole, after the pair were left with less demanding schedules when they departed the UK X Factor judging panel. The pair formed a lasting bond during the three years they co-judged The X Factor and clearly that affection extends to other areas of their professional lives, with Dannii speaking out about her fondness for Chezza’s music. ‘I love Cheryl’s songs…absolutely love them,’ the new mum said in a video. ‘When her first solo album came out, I was listening to it and it took me a little while to get into. I was like….”I like this”…but now I love it. ‘I just listen to it more and more and I absolutely love it.’ And taking her admiration of Cheryl even further, the 39-year-old added that she wants to collaborate with Cole. ‘I’d love to do something with Cheryl,’ said Dannii, who is best known musically for songs like Put the Needle on It. How cute!

 Dannii Minogue tweeted on the whole Cheryl X Factor exit on the night it broke out and she couldn’t have been more sweet and supportive, she also hinted at her own X Factor exit may not have been her own decision.  We all love Channii too! We’ll miss it.

 Dannii Minogue has tipped fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole for success at the Brits. The Aussie, whose former protege Matt Cardle is up for best British single for his cover of When We Collide, said she wanted to see Plan B scoop the British male solo category. Asked what she thought of the British female solo nominees, she told AOL Music: “Cheryl Cole has stormed the charts with her records and beguiled us all with her charm – I love that her lyrics are passionate and personal – they get me every time.” Need.more.Channi.not.enough.Channi!

 OK Magazine asked Kelly Osbourne who she thought was more stylish out of Cheryl Cole or Dannii Minogue, it wasn’t rocket science guessing who she’d pick. Everyone commented on Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole’s style duting The X Factor 2010 but we just had to ask Fashion Police’s Kelly Osbourne who she thought nailed it. She said: “I would have to say Cheryl. I think she’s really cute and found a way to wear elegant dresses but also looked quite funky and casual.” Well the reality TV star was hardly going to choose Dannii Minogue – who both she and her mother Sharon have publicly argued with. Kelly added: “I actually really like the way Dannii did a more classic look – she looked like a lady, not like an older woman who was trying to look younger. “ I do think she looked great but I prefer Cheryl’s style.”

 Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole have reportedly become close on the set of this year’s X Factor. According to Metro, the judges spent little time together in the past two years, but have recently become friends. A source told the newspaper: “It’s the closest Dannii and Cheryl have every been. “In the past they’ve had little contact off camera. This year they have each other’s number and are actually texting each other.” Last month, it was suggested that show boss Simon Cowell had urged Cole and Minogue to “sort out their differences” before both returned to the reality talent contest for the live rounds. It was previously claimed that the pair in fact became friends towards the end of the 2008 series of The X Factor.

 Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue are expected to dent each other’s autobiography sales later this month, reports claim. Online retailer Amazon has cut the pre-order prices for the books before Minogue’s My Story and Cole’s Through My Eyes are released on September 30. “It’s a massive blow. Cheryl’s so popular and bound to outsell her. It’s like anything you can do, I can do better. Dannii’s already missed a lot of X Factor glory because of baby Ethan,” The Sun quotes a source as saying. “She should be coming back as a triumphant yummy mummy – instead she’s coming back as second fiddle. It could be coincidence but it rains on Dannii’s parade horribly.”

 Louis Walsh has reportedly said that his fellow judges on The X Factor are all extremely concerned with how they look. The Irish panellist revealed that Simon Cowell is very “touchy” when it comes to his hair and his “high [Cuban] heels”. Walsh told Glamour: “Underneath those flares, there are some serious heels going on. He’s always trying these facials and buys unbelievably expensive face creams from Harrods. Oh, and he has this hairdryer he carries around.” The judge added that there is a secret rivalry between Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue over their styling. He explained: “What I like is seeing the girls looking at one another thinking, ‘Where did she get that dress? Why didn’t I get that dress?’ And, ‘Who did her hair?’ “They are always kissing each other and complimenting each other but really it’s a mixture between a catwalk and a catfight. Simon and me are the two ugly bookends.”
 Simon Cowell has reportedly ordered fellow X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue to be tougher on the show’s contestants this year. According to the News of the World, Cowell has warned the pair to stop treating the show like a beauty contest and focus on their acts rather than their so-called ‘style war’. A source said: “Simon felt that last year Cheryl and Dannii went too easy on their own acts. He believes they are nervous to say what they really think in case fans think they are being too mean. They hate being booed but Simon reckons they need to grow thicker skins. “He’s never scared to criticise his own acts. He wants the other judges to do the same and stop holding back. The music industry is unforgiving and he wants the panel to reflect that this year – even if that’s brutal. “Cheryl can be feisty so Simon’s told her to let go and say what she’s thinking and Dannii can be sharp-tongued. Simon’s advice is if people don’t like what they say, it’s tough.” The X Factor returns to ITV1 on Saturday August 21. |
