I'm Charlie, I've started this website on my own to support Cheryl, I've been a fan of Girls Aloud since 2005 and was always drawn onto one particular member and that was Cheryl, the fansite is part of me showing my fan support and to give other fans the best source to news and pictures.

I'm 22, living in London and currently a student studying photography and looking to pursue a career in the music industry as a music photographer.

Adele and Cheryl Cole are the two richest pop stars in Britain, according to a new rich list.

Adele tops the list of music stars under the age of 30, with a fortune estimated to be worth £30 million, which is up from £20 million in last year’s rich list.

There’s quite a gap between Adele and second place on the rich list – to be published in The Times. Cheryl Cole takes second place with a fortune of £14 million, up from £12 million in 2012.

Leona Lewis, Katie Melua and Florence Welch round off the top five of the list.

Where are the boys we hear you ask? Well, you have to go all the way down to joint eight place before JLS – who each amassed £6 million – make the list.

While One Direction are behind JLS in the money making stakes, with an individual fortune of £5 million each.

If she had been expecting to simply meet and greet our heroes on the front line, then Cheryl Cole was in for an almighty shock.

Shortly after landing at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan, on a trip organised by the Daily Mirror, the pop star was handed army fatigues, an SA80 rifle and invited to join a fierce mock gun battle in the sweltering 40C desert heat.

The Girls Aloud singer screamed as crack soldiers set off explosions around her inside a specially-built compound.

She then had to run for cover while “enemy” gun fire reverberated amid the chaos. The exercise ended with her helping to carry an injured soldier to a Chinook. Cheryl, 28, said: “I went into the room and heard an explosion. It was scary. I was terrified. I’m not ashamed to say I screamed and uttered a few expletives.”

Cheryl’s dramatic welcome to army life came after she took a 12-hour RAF flight to the base in the heart of Helmand – the most violent part of Afghanistan – from Brize Norton, Oxon.

On the plane, she endeared herself to fellow passengers, servicemen and women flying out for a six month tour, by becoming a stewardess. She served dinners of sausages, mash and peas to star-struck soldiers on the Tristar jet. Cheryl also dished out drinks and snacks to the 20 Armoured Brigade troops.

Her flight arrived at Bastion, where 8,500 British troops are based, under the cover of darkness at 2am yesterday. But just five hours later she was up and ready to watch and even take part in the training exercises. She was mobbed everywhere she went and happily signed autographs and posed for pictures.

Task Force Helmand chief, Lt Col Tim Purbrick, said: “She was not afraid to get her shoes dirty.

Plucky pop star Cheryl Cole touched down in Afghanistan last night – on a Daily Mirror-inspired mission to boost morale for our frontline heroes.

The 28-year-old Girls Aloud singer landed at Camp Bastion in the heart of Helmand Province on a visit to mark 10 years of UK operations in the ravaged country.

Cheryl bravely agreed to fly to the war zone to film a special tribute to members of the Army, Navy and Air Force as part of the Daily Mirror’s prestigious Pride of Britain Awards which will be shown on ITV1 next month.

It will be her first major appearance on British TV since she quit as a judge on The X Factor 10 months ago.

A beaming Cheryl yesterday said she was “delighted” to be making the visit.

A source added: “Cheryl’s amazed by the courage of all those serving our country.

“When she was invited to go out to see them in Afghanistan, she immediately said ‘yes’.

“She thinks it’s such a great cause and they deserve all the recognition they get.”

Early yesterday morning Cheryl boarded a troop carrier plane at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. During the 12-hour military flight she was issued with her own protective helmet and body armour, which had a record of her blood group taped on the outside in case of an emergency.

Even before landing in the war-torn country, Cheryl was fast on her way to becoming the new forces’ sweetheart.

Her very presence cheered up her fellow air travellers – soldiers from 20 Brigade who are just beginning a gruelling six-month tour of duty in Afghanistan.

One soldier told the Mirror: “I couldn’t believe it was Cheryl joining us.

“It’s great she’s made the effort to come all the way out here. Not only does she look amazing but it’s a pretty big gesture. It’s cheered everyone up.”

Ahead of her surprise visit, Cheryl had secretly undergone hostile environment training with crack former British troops.

The petite, 5ft 3in Geordie was given tips on how to stay alive if kidnapped and told how to take cover if she comes under fire.

In a stark reminder of just how hazardous her morale-boosting mission is, as the troop carrier neared its destination, the American embassy in the capital Kabul came under heavy fire from Taliban guns and rockets.

And as the plane flew into Afghan airspace, everyone on board was told to put on their helmet and body armour because insurgent forces frequently target Nato planes.

During her visit, Cheryl will meet many of the 8,500 British soldiers, sailors and airmen currently serving on the most dangerous front line in the world – including those who have been wounded in action and are being treated at Camp Bastion’s field hospital.

Today, she is due to talk to warriors from the crack Brigade Reconnaissance Force, an elite fighting unit specially trained to work deep behind enemy lines.

The BRF, mostly Royal Marine Commandos, have spent weeks spying on Taliban forces, far from the main British battle force.

She was particularly looking forward to a ride in one of their heavily-armed Jackal fighting vehicles – a favourite of reconnaissance troops travelling into the desert. Loaded with heavy machine guns, the war-machine was brought to the front several years ago.

And she is also scheduled to meet members of the counter-Improvised Explosive Device team who search out and dispose of the Taliban’s deadly roadside bombs.

Animal-lover Cheryl, who has two pet chihuahuas called Coco and Buster, will also get to meet the hard-working military dogs assisting our troops on the front line – the spaniels and labradors that are trained to sniff out explosives and the German shepherd “attack dogs” who can break an insurgent’s arm with a single bite.

And she will be treated to a rousing performance from the world-famous Royal Marine band, the pride of 3 Commando Brigade, which is preparing to come home.

Cheryl Cole has lent her support to a fundraising appeal in aid of a young brain tumour patient.

The Newcastle-born pop star has donated a selection of signed memorabilia to nine-year-old cancer sufferer Brandon Ballance, in a bid to boost a charity drive to take him on a dream trip to swim with dolphins in America.

The former X Factor judge’s gesture comes just five weeks before Brandon flies off to Florida to fulfil his lifelong wish following a major campaign started by his devoted mum Sarah Nicholson.

Sarah from Amble, in Northumberland, has managed to raise almost £17,000 in her bid to “make Brandon smile again”, after almost seven years of harrowing medication and hospital stays.

The 33-year-old says she is “overwhelmed” by the latest donation, which includes a CD of Cole’s latest album, Messy Little Raindrops, two photographs and a huge poster, which are all signed: “Best wishes, Cheryl Cole”. Single mum Sarah is set to sell the autographed items on the internet and hopes they will help her raise the additional cash needed “to give Brandon the best possible experience” overseas.

“We just can’t believe it. I’m absolutely overwhelmed by it,” said Sarah, also mum to four-year-old Sienna, who launched an appeal to take Brandon on his dream trip in The Journal earlier this year.

She added: “It’s amazing to think that our appeal, which started as something so small has grown beyond our expectations and the fact that a celebrity has now donated something to Brandon’s Wish Fund is just fantastic.”

Brandon was diagnosed with a growth on his brain when he was aged just two. Since then he has endured course after course of chemotherapy.

He has just completed a course of radiotherapy which has left him depending on a tube to feed. Sarah, of Links Avenue, made the appeal in March over fears Brandon could relapse and become too ill to travel. She is now planning to list the Cheryl Cole items for sale on the internet auction website Ebay in the next couple of days.

England cricket ace Steve Harmison has also donated a signed shirt to the appeal and Sarah is asking for any club interested in raffling the shirt on behalf of Brandon’s Wish Fund to get in touch.

She added: “Brandon is really looking forward to the trip and is asking every single day if it’s time to go. We are going in about five weeks, but that just seems like a lifetime to him. He’s really excited.

“I just want to thank everyone who has made a donation so far for making this possible for my little boy.”

Cheryl Cole Hare Design

The A-list both from the art and entertainment worlds are cutting, colouring and styling their ‘HARE’ to raise money towards two new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The HARE Styling celebrity canvases appeal is the brainchild of the famed hairdresser Michael Van Clarke whose daughter Angelica was given a lifesaving operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital when she was just two days old.

Now 15 years old, Angelica has drawn a hare to help raise funds for the hospital that saved her life. The hare has been reproduced on A4 canvases which have been sent to well-known names in the public eye inviting them to create an original artwork too. These will be auctioned for charity both on-line and at an exclusive ‘Hare Ball’ at London’s Dorchester Park Lane on the 26th of May.

Distinguished names include: Tracey Emin, Cheryl Cole, Jamie Oliver, Stella McCartney, Twiggy, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Terry Venables and HRH Princess Beatrice, The Duchess of York have all already returned their canvases with many more expected ahead of the March deadline. All of the canvases will be displayed at a Central London gallery exhibition. Most will be included in a hard bound book printed to raise further money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Frankie Sandford, Cheryl Cole

Saturdays Frankie Sandford has hit back over claims she is trying to be the next Cheryl Cole.

The 22 year old singer tweeted that she is ‘happy being me’ after rumours surrounding the stars future started to circulate, with many people claiming she was working on a solo album as well as having TV presenting jobs lined up.

Frankie went on to say via Twitter: ‘Hahah!!! appears im off to Marbella this summer, growing my hair, working on a solo album and tv presenting!!!

‘The Saturdays keep me busy enough….And im more than happy being me!!! :) ’.

It was reported she was going to grow her hair and has been thinking about visiting Dubai and St Tropez with footballer boyfriend Wayne Bridge, famous places where Cheryl and former husband Ashley spent time.

The girls do however have a lot in common, both singers in two famous five-piece girl bands, as well as being named two of the sexiest women in the world by various different magazines.

Takes a lot and years of hard work to achieve what Cheryl has, just saying!
