 Leighton Meester has revealed she’s hooked on Cheryl Cole’s music after being introduced to it by Selena Gomez. The Gossip Girl actress starred alongside Gomez in new movie Monte Carlo, and said they spent their down time listening to tracks by the British singer. “I’m sure we annoyed a lot of people in our hotel because we were always running around the place singing and dancing,” she told Teen Now. “We were definitely a handful!?? We had a blast singing Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry songs. Selena had a few of Cheryl’s songs on her iPod, but we downloaded some more as well. I love Fight For This Love. It’s great, although we’d change the words to make us laugh.” ” Over lunch or breakfast, you’d hear us singing things like, ‘you’ve gotta jump, jump, jump, jump, jump for this bread’. There’s another track about being drunk in love or something … I love that one, too. Cheryl Cole’s great.” Aaw I’m sure Cheryl would be over the moon to hear that she has more famous US fans!

Justin Bieber’s 18-year-old girlfriend, who describes Chezza as an ‘inspiration’, has started calling herself Cheryl Cole for fun. ‘My friends and I will go to the bowling alley…’ Selena tells the Telegraph. ‘I like to call myself a different name on the score screen. Like Princess Fancypants or Cheryl Cole.’ Boyfriend Justin Bieber will definitely approve – he confessed to a crush on The X Factor judge last year. ‘I’m looking forward to seeing Cheryl Cole. She’s hot…’ Justin, 17, told Capital FM. ‘She’s got herself a nice looking bod.’

 Selena Gomez has revealed that she is inspired by Cheryl Cole. Speaking to UK Cosmopolitan, the ‘A Year Without Rain’ singer professed that Cole’s music helped her to get through a difficult film shoot. “She’s a big influence on me,” the star said. “I picked up her CD and they gave me Girls Aloud things and a DVD of her, and her music got me through my whole movie [that I was filming]. “She made me feel better, I just love her music and I think she’s a really nice person. She’s been through a lot, but she carries herself with a lot of class and I love that.” The Wizards of Waverly Place star also praised friend Taylor Swift for being someone that truly understands what she’s going through on a daily basis. “We sort of compliment each other so I feel like we kind of have the same mentality about this industry,” Gomez said. “We just support each other and throughout everything we go through, we know that we both understand. We’re both going through a lot of the same things, so we’re always there for each other.” Gomez recently held a special benefit concert for UNICEF.

 Selena Gomez has revealed she would love to work with Cheryl Cole, describing the Girls Aloud star as a “modern Britney Spears”. The Wizards Of Waverly Place actress-singer is a fan of Cheryl’s solo music, including her current hit Promise This. “My dream would be to work with Cheryl Cole – I love her, and would love to work with her,” she said. “Her songs are amazing, they are so much fun. They almost remind me of a modern Britney Spears, because they’re like the new generation of Hit Me Baby One More Time. Rain On Me and Stand Up are my two favourites.” Selena, whose second album A Year Without Rain is out now, heaped praise on the X Factor judge. “She’s very beautiful and she has this appeal to her that to guys can be sexy but to girls, can be classy – I like that. She’s been through a lot, and I can see that she carries herself with a lot of grace, so I look up to her,” she continued. Also on the 18-year-old’s wishlist are Brit songstresses Pixie Lott and Ellie Goulding. “I love Pixie very much. I love love love Cry Me Out, she’s got such an amazing voice. I like Ellie Goulding too,” she added. Asked if she would like to appear on The X Factor, Selena said: “I’ve always wanted to be on the show but I’ve never been approached, so I don’t think it will happen anytime soon.  Selena Gomez, our little Cheryl stan from the States have once again mentioned Cheryl, not only by speech, but by words on print! Selena gave Cheryl a little tribute for Chez being a “massive inspiration” to her in her album booklet. She’s also been mentioning Cheryl like crazy in the past weeks promoting her album at various interviews. She said in the Perez Hilton interview (@ 1:55) with Perez asking: “Somebody told me you really love Cheryl Cole slash Tweedy, I like to call her Tweedy now cause she’s a single lady. She may have dated that one dude, but I don’t believe that, it don’t really matter. Why do you like Cheryl so much?” “I would like to be on the record to say that i’m the one who introduced Cheryl to Justin[Bieber],” Selena said. “He will nto stop talking about her, he didn’t know who she was. We were talking one day and I said that I’m obsessed with this girl Cheryl Cole cause I was shooting a movie overseas [The UK] and she’s huge over there so I picked it up while I was there and I showed him some videos, we watched a couple of videos.” “And he was obsessed with her, then he goes everywhere and talks about her and I’m like, she was mine first.” “I’m like defensive over her, I love her, I think she’s fierce, she’s amazing, she’s beautiful, I don’t know, she’s gone through a lot and I think she carries herself so well.” Selena continued to sing praises about Chez, “I love everything about her, her fashion, her hair, her makeup.
