Cheryl ‘Desperate To Be Fit’ For X Factor In 2 Weeks
Published by:

Cheryl Tweedy Cole

Cheryl Cole is reportedly ‘desperate to return’ to the X Factor in two weeks time despite being struck down with the fatal illness, malaria.

Although medics have advised the Girls Aloud star that she must have ‘complete rest’ in order to recover from the disease, Chezza is keen to return to the series for the Boot Camp phase of the competition.

A source told The Mirror: “She may be OK by then and that’s her main focus. But everyone will have to wait and see. It’s one day at a time for now.”

The Fight For This Love singer, who contracted the deadly disease when on holiday in Tanzania with rumoured beau dancer Derek Hough is also still due to headline V festival at the end of August.

Despite Cheryl having to cancel future work commitments, organisers of the music event have stated to the Press Association: “V Festival has not been informed by Cheryl Cole’s management that she will not be appearing at this year’s festival.”

They added: “Unless otherwise informed, organisers are expecting her to appear as planned and wish her a speedy recovery.”

Oh Chez :(

V Festival hoping Cheryl performance will still go ahead
Published by:

V Festival organisers are hoping Cheryl Cole will still perform at the event – saying they have not been told that she is pulling out.

Their comments came as Cheryl – who has been diagnosed with the potentially deadly disease malaria – has been moved from a private clinic to receive specialist care.

The singer was transferred to University College London (UCL), which is home to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, in the centre of the capital. A spokeswoman for UCL confirmed Cheryl was being treated at the Trust.

The star is said to have spent two hours in intensive care at an emergency unit of the Cromwell Hospital before being moved.

A spokesman for V Festival, where the star is set to perform, said: “V Festival has not been informed by Cheryl Cole’s management that she will not be appearing at this year’s festival. Unless otherwise informed, organisers are expecting her to appear as planned and wish her a speedy recovery.”

Cheryl, aged 27, has pulled out of the last in the current series of X Factor auditions while she fights the disease.

An X Factor spokeswoman said: “We’re not due to film with Cheryl again for a few weeks, so we will just keep in touch with her to see how things are going.”

I think they need to leave her alone at the moment and let her recover 200%.

Published by:

With a spiralling career and rising stardom, Cheryl’s life is, surely, a busy one as she sparsely finds time even to gulp down some essential foods. Now, seems like her gruelling work schedule is taking a toll on her health as was evidenced by her sudden collapse during a photoshoot in London this past Saturday.

Wearied down by her hectic routine, she passed off all of a sudden. Even as the doctor was rushed in, she remained in a dazed state. The doctor linked her passing off to severe exhaustion, something that makes her vulnerable to gastroenteritis.

Contact Music reports, “She should never have gone to the studio. She insisted she was fine, even though she clearly wasn’t. Her skin was pale and her lips had no colour. She’s rundown and tired. That’s why she ended up with the stomach virus.

She told the photographer she’d be all right if she got her make-up on. But once she was under the lights it was clear she wasn’t well. She was really sweating and the make-up staff had a job on their hands.

Cheryl transferred to a Specialist Hospital for Malaria
Published by:

Cheryl Tweedy Cole

Cheryl Cole has been transferred to a specialist hospital to be treated for malaria. The “Fight for This Love” singer, who was recently struck down with the tropical disease after apparently being bitten by a mosquito while holidaying in Tanzania with close pal Derek Hough, has reportedly been admitted to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases at University College London so medical experts can deal with the illness before it gets too serious.

“She really is very poorly indeed and doctors weren’t taking any chances. Intensive care was their best option when they saw what condition she was in. She is now in the best place for her with the best experts in the field to look after her,” a source close to the star told the Daily Mirror newspaper. “Cheryl is in a real battle but she is nothing but a fighter.”

The 27-year-old pop beauty is believed to have spent three days in intensive care at London’s private Cromwell Hospital after being diagnosed with the illness on Sunday, July 4. She was then transferred to the specialist unit and the disease is said to have “really taken a hold” on the Girls Aloud star. A spokesman for Cheryl confirmed, “It is a lot more serious than first thought.”

“Everyone thought she would pull through after 24 hours but there have been no signs of improvement. She is very ill and will not be out of hospital for a while. Everyone is holding their breath. Because of her hectic schedule, the malaria has really taken a hold. She has not got the physical strength to beat it.”

Cheryl has been forced to pull out of her role as a judge on Simon Cowell’s pop star search show “The X Factor” until further notice.
